The Hope Foundation is currently recruiting two posts to support the delivery of the Community Development element of Ageing Better Middlesbrough funded through the Big Lottery.
This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting initiative to work to build community capacity and reduce social isolation and loneliness for older people in Middlesbrough. The post is funded by the Big Lottery fulfilling lives ageing better programme until 31st March 2021.
Community Engagement Officer
Salary £24,200 35 hours a week (flexible times to meet project needs)
The purpose of your role as an Engagement Officer is to engage local people and groups for over 50’s and support the development of new groups.
You will empower over 50s and improve their quality of life. You will develop the capacity of individuals and communities to support the client group within the Community Development Team and the wider partnership delivery of the Ageing Better Middlesbrough Programme.

Community Development Team Leader
Salary £30,000 35 hours a week (flexible times to meet project needs)
The purpose of your role as Team Leader is to manage and support the Community Development Team (CDT) to successfully deliver the ABM Community Development Project. You will work in partnership with other Team Leads and providers involved in the Ageing Better Middlesbrough Programme.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the work of the CDT develops and meets the needs of the people in Middlesbrough addressing issues of social isolation and loneliness.
