WHY NOT TRY SOME OF OUR FREE TASTER SESSIONS. THE SESSIONS ARE FOR PEOPLE AGED 50 AND OVER TO COME ALONG AND TRY SOMETHING NEW.

All sessions are FREE to attend. Refreshments are included and there is always time for socialising.

Scam Avoidance School Brought to you by Santander – The lesson, which includes interactive activities and a handout to take away, covers the tricks scammers use to reel people in, how to spot email and text scams, as well as covering contactless fraud and cashpoint fraud. Barge Painting Our tutor will help you paint a plant pot for the garden, using a unique flower painting technique, with lots of laughs and good company along the way. All materials provided. Tablet Games Playing games on a tablet is fun and social. It can also be a great way to help you get more comfortable with your device and learn how to use it in a risk-free way.

Bring along your own tablet and we will show you which games are great to help you with the tablet’s functions and touchscreen and which games can maintain and improve your memory.

History Walk Join us for a walk around St Hilda’s to discover old Middlesbrough. Find out about the founders of the town and its historical buildings before moving on to the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre for refreshments. Introduction to Coding It’s very similar to crosswords and puzzles. A code a day can keep your brain 10 years younger! You don’t need to be a computer whizz kid to take part, just very basic computer skills are enough. This activity is designed to be very user friendly and a lot of fun, especially when done in a group. The benefits of Coding:

Can keep your brain sharp

Can help to relieve stress (great focus for the mind)

Can keep you social (helping each other problem solve)
