Zoom guide and online events
A guide to joining all of our upcoming digital events....
The world of video calling can sometimes be confusing, especially if you aren’t used to using computers or laptops.
Once you’ve got the hang of it though… it’s really easy.
You may have heard of things like Facebook, WhatsApp and Facetime, which are all websites/apps that allow free face-to- face video calls by the simple click of a button.
An app/website called Zoom is a little more secure though, as there are specific passwords which need to be inputted before you enter the virtual ‘meeting room’. This means it’s safer and more secure to use.
Fear not though… if this all seems alien to you, we’re here to help.
We’ve put together a Digital Guide to Zoom – which provides you with information on how to downloaded to various devices, and how you register your interest in one of the many ‘online events’ we are hosting in the coming months.
We have some great things in store, including; brilliant bingo, cuppa clubs, ‘talk sport’ sessions and chair based exercises. Just grab your mobile, tablet or laptop and click here to view the guide.
Once you’ve read it and are comfortably set up on Zoom, click here to book on to the session of your choice by clicking on the calendar date. You will then receive an email booking confirmation from one of our staff. (More information is displayed in the Digital booklet)
Alternatively, if you would like a copy of the booklet, just email your full name, telephone number, address and date of birth to: firstname.lastname@example.org
No information will be shared with any third party and will be for our use only.
Still a little stuck? If you need extra help, you can call our friendly tech volunteers on 01642 061019 and they will help with the finer details.
Lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am until 4pm.
