Winter help for older people

A variety of local and national service providers offering help this Winter

If you would like some help this Winter, there are a variety of services on offer.

First and foremost, our local Service Directory can help you with things like counselling, dementia support, benefits advice, housing issues and much, much more.

Secondly, we have our Warm and Well Winter Support project. If you are 50+ and living in Middlesbrough, you could benefit from FREE activity packs, hats, gloves, fleeces and blankets.

This initiative also provides practical advice and guidance on your heating, boiler and gas/electricity provider(s), and a regular call to check how you are. Click here to fill out the application.

Staying Steady on Your Feet is something which can prove more difficult at this time of year than any other, so it’s important you take care – especially in icy conditions, or where trip hazards may lay.  Read how you can reduce the risk here.
