TOFY Club get tech savvy
Men from The Over Fifties Youth (TOFY) Club got together this week to learn about technology!
Gasps and giggles summed up the session as the men found out how to email a document! The men looked at using the internet to search for what they’re interested in and typing in a word document.
Billy Charville, 67, Vice Chair of TOFY Club said: “I’ve learned how to use my email, forwarding and replying to messages. As Vice Chair of The Over Fifties Youth Club I can now communicate with members. I’m in the 21st Century!”
Harry Norris, 95, member of TOFY Club said: “I had my iPad bought for me two years ago and I’ve learnt how to use it through trial and error. I use my iPad for emails, checking the horses and my internet banking. I also play Solitaire and Sudoku on it. If I get stuck I ask one of my kids. I feel happier with my iPad than I do the computer.”
