M&S raised over £7000!

Marks and Spencer’s “pop up shop” raised over £7000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The store was open for one week only between 25th April 2016 and 7th May 2016 in support of Dementia Friendly Week. Occupying a vacant shop unit, they were busy selling a variety of goods including bric–a-brac and clothing.

Terri-Ann Rigg, Store Manager said “We ran the shop together with the Hill Street Centre and local fashion students from Middlesbrough College.”

As well as raising a fantastic £7,000, staff members supported the students to gain valuable work experience and one student was even offered a placement in the store!
