If you would like a tariff check, please have a recent bill handy. Or if your bill is online, please email it before you call.
Affordable Warmth Advisor Jennifer said: “We are expecting that you will be using more fuel while you’re at home more and we are here to help you keep the costs down.
“Our guidance will help you understand your energy bills, ensure you are on an affordable tariff, and ease any worries you may have during these uncertain times.”
Priority register: The team are also encouraging people with health conditions to sign up to the priority services register. This service, from Northern Powergrid, makes sure people who may struggle are given additional support during a power cut.
Pre-payment meters: If you have a pre-payment meter and are worried about gas or electricity card payments, you should contact your energy supplier, who will make sure you are topped up.
